Silicone rubber is the go-to elastomer for any tasks that involve extreme temperatures. This white rubber material can function in temperatures between -103° F and 500° F. So whether a silicone food grade gasket is used in below freezing temperatures or at extremely high boiling temperatures, it will retain its structural integrity and prevent damage to food material. We offer custom gauges of 1-50mm thick and widths of up to 2.7m upon request. The medium durometer rating of food grade silicone means that it can be more easily cut than other rubbers of a higher durometer rating. A flexible material is better suited to being made into specific components such as a food grade gasket or seal.
